Rupert Murdoch’s Fox and News Corp. merger falls apart after the Australian billionaire withdraws his proposal

Rupert Murdoch won’t be combining his two media firms, Fox and Information Corp.

He made the choice in a letter despatched to Information Corp.’s board of administrators, the corporate stated in a press launch. The high-profile media billionaire withdrew his proposed merger and indicated that he and his son, Lauchlan Murdoch, decided that it was “not optimum for shareholders of Information Corp and FOX right now,” in accordance with the assertion.
